MDDN 251 - Testing controller

Testing controller

Hooked the wires up to the inputs on the arduino and ran some cod that i found on a site that was created for interfacing a controller like mine to the computer. I couldn't get it to work yet but not too sure if the wires were connecting correctly.

black is ground, Brown 13, Green 12, Orange 11, Red/Pink 10, Yellow 3.3v, Blue 5v. Purple has not been attached.

Have decided to take apart the end of the ps2 controller instead of scraping the copper wires. After stripping the wires back and researching more on them i found out that...
Brown____clk____(Clock)

Orange____Do_____(Command)

Red____Cs____(Attention)

Green____Di____(Data)

Black____GND____(Ground)

Yellow____3.3v____(3.3v)

Blue, i read this that i found on the internet.

7.5v triggers the feedback motor inside of the controller. Too use this you will have to use a digital pin to trigger a mosfet/transistor to supply the 7.5v.  

Not fully sure what purple is but i think it is..
Purple____Ack____(Acknowledge).

Choosing what i want to wire

I got told that a way of going about connecting wires could be to scrap the fine plastic overlay off the tops of the copper and then connect wires to them experimenting with it.
I'm not too sure about doing this as i don't want to mess it up and have it not work anymore.

Went through doing some arduino tutorials like the simple blink tutorial. In my design i will be using a lot of leds. Their will be about 3 or 4 different colours and in a row each of the same colour.

MDDN 241 - Music

Music

Started to look for sounds effects like rumbling when the rock is falling and clashing sounds for when it hit the terrain but found it difficult to find something that would fit well enough. Didn't exactly have the time to make my own either otherwise i would give it a go. 

After browsing through different areas of music i searched for a dark mood type. Stumbled upon a perfect clip that ended up working fine after a bit of editing to it and some syncing.

Editing the film

Pieced all the clips together in after effects but couldn't seem to get sound working in it so i have put the rendered product into Sony Vegas to add sound and credits.

Final animation put together in Vegas with sound and credits, just before rendering it out.
